About the Authors
ROGER CONNORS and TOM SMITH are the principals and founders of Partners In Leadership, Inc. Over the last nineteen years, Partners In Leadership has become a widely respected international leadership and management consulting firm that has implemented Partners In Leadership consulting and training services in a myriad of organizations ranging in size from small “start-ups” to Fortune 500 companies. Their client list includes hundreds of clients in almost all major industries. They have an international presence in several countries and have conducted workshops and consulting engagements throughout the world, including most European countries, Japan, North America, South America, and the Middle East.
Both hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Brigham Young University. Roger Connors holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University and Tom Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from University of California, Irvine. After founding Partners In Leadership over for over two decades, they have spent the last decade pioneering the implementation of cutting-edge principles and technologies that assist leaders and teams in improving the effectiveness of organizations in achieving their key organizational results. Their varied experience has made them leaders in the struggle of coming to grips with how to create rapid culture change and greater accountability.
They are the authors of the best-selling book, The Oz Principle: Getting Results Through Individual And Organizational Accountability. They are also the authors of Journey To The Emerald City: Achieve A Competitive Edge By Creating A Culture Of Accountability and soon to be released How Did That Happen?: Holding People Accountable for Results the Positive, Principled Way. They have published several articles on management and leadership effectiveness in major publications such as the Journal of Business Strategy and Corporate University Review. They have also appeared on such television programs as: CNBC “Power Lunch,” OCN-TV “Prime Story,” and KWHY-TV (Los Angeles) “Market Talk.” Their radio broadcasts include Business Radio Network, UPI, and Voice of America.
CRAIG HICKMAN is the author of more than a dozen books, among them such national and international bestsellers as The Oz Principle, The Strategy Game, Mind of Manager, Soul of a Leader, and Creating Excellence. His business novel An Innovator’s Tale led to a four-year turnaround assignment as CEO of Headwaters Technology Innovation, an international nanotechnology company based in Princeton, New Jersey.
Prior to joining Headwaters, he founded the Management Perspectives Group, whose clients included some of the largest domestic and international companies such as Procter & Gamble, American Express, PepsiCo, Unilever, AT&T, Amoco, Nokia, Honeywell, and the U.S. Government.
He earned his MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School and has consulted for corporations and organizations around the world, lecturing abroad for the U.S. State Department, and serving as a member of the Board of Directors for several companies. He lives in Chicago.
